Has anyone changed their A/C unit recently and could recommend a company and the approximate cost?

I have replaced my outside unit. I used Mike from Jamco, local South Philly guy. Reputable and responsive. Cost me approximately $5000. 215.336.6010

We replaced our unit in 2016 through our home warranty, so I can’t say for sure what the exact cost would have been without that. My guess is that it would have cost ~$6-$7.5k for outside unit (condenser, compressor) and the evaporator coil inside.

I wouldn’t recommend the company that replaced mine, as we still had some issues after. However, I had another guy come out to look at it and fix some other settings who was excellent. I would definitely recommend at least calling him. He was very nice and knew what he was doing. His contact info is below:
