How can HOA increase the fee without a meeting and a vote. We had no idea this was coming. The increase is outrageous. Not $5, not $10 more but $30? They are making up for all the years with no increases at one time. Totally unfair knowing our taxes went up as well. They have over $1M in funds. I have been hearing about the roofs since 2004. Our cul-de-sacs streets are all cracked. We get no driveways paved. No landscaping for our properties. We got house painting and it is not every year.  It has not been used yet for roofs. This is totally unfair and we are being taken advantage of. They have no right controlling our $ like this. We had a right to know and meet in this for a vote.

I received many calls over the weekend regarding an increase in the HOA dues. I told everyone  that it must be a mistake or misprint on the coupon books. How can there be an increase of 30 percent in our dues without a letter or meeting to discuss? Then magical an email was sent out after talking with our president this morning.  How can the board approve such a thing without getting some insight from the members of the association? The grounds look horrible and fences are falling down.   The board  wants to replace roofs after 18 years which have a life expectancy of 25-30 years. We have over a million dollars in our reserve fund but they still want to increase the dues by 30 percent. There must be a mismanagement of funds and we deserve answers .
