All:

The refining complex has received odor complaints from the Sienna Place community.  As a result, our emergency response and operations teams immediately began to investigate within the facility.  We determined one of our tanks floating roof shifted.  The cause of the shift may have happened due to the heavy rains we have been experiencing. However, a complete and thorough investigation will be conducted to determine to cause.

Protocol to contain odors coming from a tank, with a shifted roof, is to cover the top of the tank with foam.  Our crews will continue to add foam on top of the impacted tank every 30 minutes.

PES has been and will continue to conduct air monitoring in the community.

We are currently moving the product from the impacted tank into another one.  This process could take up to 60 hours to complete.

We apologize for any nuisance this has caused the community, and I will provide you with updates as I receive them.

Thank you for keeping us updated. I was wondering if there was a gas leak that day. I also smelled that sulfur gas smell again yesterday late evening even stronger this time. Do we call 911 when it occurred ?
