Pierce The Veil is an American rock band that formed in 2006 under the name Before Today. The band consists of brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes, Tony Perry, and Jaime Preciado. In 2007, they changed their name to Pierce The Veil and released their debut album, A Flair For The Dramatic, on Equal Vision Records.

A Flair For The Dramatic is a post-hardcore album that incorporates elements of emo, experimental rock, and progressive rock. The album was produced by Casey Bates and Vic Fuentes, and features guest vocals from Curtis Peoples and David Yaden. The album showcases the band's technical skills, emotional lyrics, and diverse influences. Some of the songs on the album are inspired by movies, such as Drella, which references Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick, and The Balcony Scene, which references Romeo and Juliet.

The album received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, and charted at number 61 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. The album spawned three singles: Currents Convulsive, Yeah Boy and Doll Face, and Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides, all of which have music videos. The album also established Pierce The Veil as one of the rising bands in the post-hardcore scene.

In 2017, Pierce The Veil released an anniversary edition of A Flair For The Dramatic, which includes a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and live performances. The anniversary edition also features new artwork by Vic Fuentes.

A Flair For The Dramatic was followed by four more studio albums by Pierce The Veil: Selfish Machines (2010), Collide With The Sky (2012), Misadventures (2016), and The Jaws of Life (2023). Each album showed the band's evolution and experimentation with different genres, such as pop punk, metalcore, and alternative rock. The band also collaborated with various artists, such as Jeremy McKinnon of A Day to Remember, Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens, and Lindsey Stirling.

Pierce The Veil has also released several singles, music videos, and a video album titled This Is a Wasteland (2013), which documents their world tour.
