I am aware of options regarding colors of the editor, but I did not find a way to customize color of the interface. I would like to know if there is a possibililty to add black theme to PSPad.
Thanks
Themes in PSpad causes most of the problems in 5.0.5 and 5.0.6
5.0.7 is without theme support. I need to stabilize this version first, as second step I must find way how to add themes without influences of stability.
Hi, could you bring theming of the IDE (dark mode) back to the most recent (beta) version? Maybe with the addition as "experimental" (or hidden and only be set in ini-file). In version 5.0.6 it was not perfect but it was doable. I know the color scheme can be set to dark, but that looks really bad in combination with the light/classic IDE colors. Thanks!
On Windows 10, tried the new 'stable' version 5.0.4 (543), and rapidly switched back to PsPad unicode 5.0.4 (539):
In the new 'stable' version dark themes are missing (cannot find 'carbon' for example), other themes cannot be set - the only 'IDE-Style' is Windows, selected color shemes vanish on accept/saving ... maybe there's a plugin/extension needed for getting dark themes working like before.
To choose a color scheme: In the dialog click on "AutoIt3" on the left side. The current color scheme for AutoIt3 will appear. Then you can choose one of the available themes. In the lower part of the dialog next to "Color Scheme" click on the arrow of the ComboBox and choose e.g. "PSPad dark". Then click on "Load" to load the theme, and click on "Apply".
I have created a theme "argumentum1 " argumentum1.zip based on your screenshot. This theme is not accurate, because I picked the colors from the screenshot. If you send me your SciTE scheme, I can adjust the colors more precisely.
To import color schemes, just copy the desired color scheme file (e.g. "PSPad dark.ini") to the folder: "...\PSPad4AutoIt3\Colors\". After that you can select the imported theme in the highlighter dialog described above in "To choose a color scheme".
I use My fine tuned High Contrast theme to set the colors for my desktop.
A dark mode has much less impact at the end of the day, than the common bright whites, all day, everywhere.
So the dark coloring is important to me.
I find the dark theme very interesting, and I think it is good for the eyes. I have downloaded your "My fine tuned High Contrast theme" and tested it for a short time. I like it very much. Also to you: Thanks for sharing.
Hm, I generally prefer a dark-on-light theme, not vice-versa. Trying out most of the pre-installed themes / color schemes, I finally found one I could live with. Soon, I edited that color scheme to roughly match the colors I love from PN2.
