Ok, I just checked the log for the Plex Docker. And maybe the "folder changed" date was changed at 05:50 because the Plex Docker was updated at that time. Maybe it's not related with the files gone? Just that it checkes folders for correct permissions etc?

3.) Has a user write access to your movie collection? If yes: Don't do that. The Plex docker container should only have read-access for your media. And your users, too. I enabled Disk Share access, enabled only the cache disk for my user and rip my movies to /mnt/cache/Movies. After the mover does its work, they are out of all user permissions. By that my Movie collection is protected against deleting by accident and ransomware as long I'm not using the Root Login through my browser.

I have not gone to the cinema in a long time
I have not been to the cinema in a long time
I have not seen a movie in a theatre for a long time

Any canine lover can tell you that some of the most relatable, oftentimes poignant things to watch are dog movies! Leave it to Netflix to go down this trail, thankfully not swaying too heavily into cheesy, melodramatic territory. Based on a harrowing true story, Dog Gone ended up being a lot better than I expected. Of course, the cheesiness is par for the course in these types of pictures. If one can get past the manipulative score and TV-movie presentation, Dog Gone holds a surprising amount of heart and emotion at its core.

If I were limited to multiplexes, as people are in many parts of the country, the numbers would be worse. In many places, the number would be zero. Frances Ha is by far the most widely available of the four women-centered movies, and it's at 213 theaters this weekend in the entire country. The East is at 115. What Maisie Knew is at 51. Fill The Void looks like it's in about 20 locations, judging by its site.

By far your best shot, numbers-wise, at finding one that's at least even-handedly featuring a man and a woman is Before Midnight (at 891 theaters) so I hope you like it. Because it's pretty much that or a solid, impenetrable wall of movies about dudes.

Somebody asked me this morning what "the women" are going to do about this. I don't know. I honestly am at the point where I have no idea what to do about it. Stop going to the movies? Boycott everything?

It seems that the current version of iTunes (12.5.1.21) no longer accepts my old home movies and has completely deleted them from my library. They previously showed up in Itunes with a video icon alongside - but no sign of them there, or anywhere else I looked either in the Itunes listing or the library file on my external hard drive.

Thanks for your continued interest. The situation is that I maintain my iTunes library on an external hard drive. After the recent iTunes upgrade it would not accept that situation which I had used Preferences/Advanced to change - for the first four or five times I opened iTunes it would revert to the C drive on my PC. So every time I changed it back in Preferences/Advanced and finally that succeeded. But on loading up the library that time it became aware that a number of songs, videos and all the home videos were now gone. Over time I can replace all the other stuff (what a pain!) but the home videos are lost forever it seems. Once I have checked all other suggestions I will inform Apple as you suggest - but, from all previous experience, I expect that will be a futile gesture.

FYI, when I check my latest version of iTunes after reading this thread, I notice some changes. I didn't have any of my home movies synced to my devices, but I had several loaded into my iTunes Library. I've also got my iTunes set to keep my files organized.

When I look where you indicated for a folder called Home Movies, that does exist in my iTunes library, however it is empty. I also do not have the option to select Home Movies in the View area of iTunes. I went to my iTunes folder and found my movies in the Movies folder, but it has been a while since I kept any home video on the devices that I could not be sure if anything else is missing there. I do see the 2 or 3 that I remember.

I don't use it, but I think others recommend using "Movies Anywhere" that keeps all your purchased movies in a Library. I think it was mentioned on the Vudu/Fandango website when they were doing their transition. It was near the bottom of the page if I recall correctly.

"Gone Girl" is art and entertainment, a thriller and an issue, and an eerily assured audience picture. It is also a film that shifts emphasis and perspective so many times that you may feel as though you're watching five short movies strung together, each morphing into the next.

Many classic and near-classic films can be slotted into this sub-genre. One of them is Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo," a film in which the bad guy's scheme makes no sense if you think about it for longer than thirty seconds and that, in any event, would have unraveled had even the smallest part of it not gone precisely as envisioned. (How did Gavin and imposter-Maddie get out of the bell tower, anyway, without being seen by anybody, including Scottie? Was there a second stairwell?) After "Gone Girl" I overheard a couple listing all the dropped plot threads and narrative holes big enough to hide aircraft carriers in. This isn't the sort of movie that can withstand that kind of scrutiny. You might as well say, "That part in my dream where the penguin told me where to dig for the treasure seemed unrealistic."

But not every indie company has the benefit of a branded division or makes movies with titles like Vengeance and The Voyeurs. Coming out of the pandemic and the crisis in theatrical exhibition, sustainability among independent filmmakers has become an increasing concern.

"On the whole, I see Disney in a position that's been mostly expected coming out of the pandemic and having gone through another leadership change," said Shawn Robbins, chief analyst at BoxOffice.com. "Those two massively influential factors have reshaped the studio's position in a number of ways, especially at the box office when considering the last decade saw their top franchises and brand fire on all cylinders. That kind of momentum was never going to be sustainable without the occasional ebb and flow."

You can't download movies and TV shows on Apple TV, smart TVs, and other streaming devices with the Apple TV app. You can stream movies and TV shows that you purchased. Just open the Apple TV app and go to your library.

Movies are entertainment, but they are also a powerful persuasive force that can influence popular opinion through a potent mix of sights, sounds and emotions. It helps to see scripted movies as jumping-off points for further study, not a final source in themselves.

Viewers have the choice to avoid the ugly message of "Birth" and other old movies; they don't stand like statues in the town square. But they must remain available for viewing and study as they are part of our history. As Lee vividly illustrates, these visual time capsules can help us understand who we were, who we are and who we might be.

This song, to me, is very personal. As stellaluna1125 says so above, the movies is a place where one can be free and get lost in the plot. As this song progresses, the fact that shines is that the girl would rather be at the movies than be with him. Maybe it was cause of all the fights, or that the girl wanted something the boy could never be able to give her.

I think this song is about a girl who left a guy who seemed to like her but didn't really care. If he did care he'd be out trying to find her. it seems he clearly isn't that bothered she's gone cos even when he's left on his own lookin round his empty apartment all he's thinking about is if his car is going to start or he'll be taking the bus.

I have a slightly different take on this song (which is one of my fav's).

I think it is about a relationship on the brink... the guy is an Ass and he has somewhat of a history of failing to stand up for what he cares for.

So i think it's (the relationship and its problems) all come to a head and she has left.

True to form, he knows exactly where she is likely to be (the movies) but he spends his time talking himself out of doing anything about it.

I believe that if he was 'another fool' (someone smarter than he is) and he went out looking for her (just like the end of some romance movie) she would take him back, she is hoping he will fight for her... for them. but his defeatist attitude is stopping that from ever happening.

I love this song. Don't you ever jsut want to get lost in the movies, you can go to a placae where anything is possible, you can live forever and always have the happy ending tha tyou wanted. I feel the same way about music, you should be able to get lost in the things you love. Then there is just this fool, who keeps on trying to give this girl something he never can.

I don't quite understand this song. It all seems pretty straightforward until it gets to the "another fool" parts. The most I can guess is that he's sitting around thinking about the life he used to have and a) his girl died on the way to some place and he's just pretending she's at the movies and that she'll be back later b) she left him and isn't coming back and he's in denial about it, pretending (again) that she's at the movies.

the girl likes to go lose herself in movies and is very spontanious and emotionally open. the boy is very calculated, literal minded and logical. this shows in his observations in the 3rd verse, starting "another fool..."

Gone to the movies is codeword for the fact that his girl has left him. From the sounds of it, it would seem that it's not a rare thing, though; maybe it's something he tells him when she's going to see someone else, andhe comes to realize what the phrase really means.

Guffey's path to putting "All Gone Wrong" into the world began at the University of Iowa. He'd been interested in videography since taking a television production class at Bettendorf High School, and he said transitioning to college helped him realize that making movies could be a vocation, rather than just a hobby.
