I would say the goal of the nhs is to Praise those who work hard and succeed in school, but also participate in Extracurricular activities. Now, I would base merit on merit, extracurricular activities, and difficulty of the courses the Students took. I think anyone should be allowed to hae a chance to be accepted into the nhs, but affirmative action should be outlawed.
