Hello everyone,
Today we'll be in the library doing the following:
1. We have the computers for first lunch only, so you can get started
with your group on some research for your topic.
2. I have put the rubric for the video (I've decided to forgo the
PPoint) online. If you google "Rubistar for teachers" you should get
to a link,
rubistar4teachers.org. In the space for "find a rubric
online", type in the following code: 1952503 You should then see
the rubric for the video for this project.
3. After you're done using the computers, please go into the pit,
where you are to answer any 3 questions on the Discussion Guide for
episode 6 (handed out yesterday). This will count as a class work
grade.
4. After you've done this, I'd like you to do the following: With a
partner,go around and ask random people how "moral" they are on a
scale of 1-5. (1 not at all, 5 very much so). Please stay in or
around the library area. Ask them to think of a time where they've
acted in what they think is a "morally worthy" way, and then apply
Kant's formula to the act to see if it fits his demanding definition
of such acts. Try to ask at least 3 people in or around the library
(in the mall is OK). Record your answers to turn in, and you can keep
the people anonymous.
5. With any time left, you can work on your project in the pit area at
your designated tables. Thanks and have a nice weekend!
