On behalf of The Electrochemical Society it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the 220th ECS Meeting and first international Electrochemical Energy Summit in Boston, MA. This essential meeting, comprised of more than 53 technical symposia, begins with a plenary session on Sunday October 9 and extends through October 14, 2011.

Your deadline for submitting abstracts is only 3-weeks away: Abstracts are due no later than April 29, 2011.

This fall's event is particularly vital because it includes an Electrochemical Energy Summit where international policy makers and scientists will discuss critical developments surrounding electrochemistry and energy issues.

In addition to submitting your work to the main meeting's technical content, participants may express views and offer effective solutions on how to advance electrochemical technologies to address society energy needs as part of the Summit's Three Day Poster Session.

For more information about Abstract Submission Guidelines, Meeting Registration and Hotel Reservation Deadlines, publishing your work in ECS Transactions, and Travel Grants that are available, please visit the 220th ECS Meeting page on the ECS website.

Rich in information and tradition, ECS's meetings bring together scientists, engineers, and researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories to share results and discuss issues on related topics through a variety of formats, such as oral presentations, poster sessions, panel discussions, and tutorial sessions.  Along with the Officers of ECS, I look forward to meeting you in Boston in October -- a valuable experience will be shared by all.

Regards,

Tetsuya Osaka, Professor of Applied Chemistry, Waseda University

Third Vice President, ECS

P.S. Please remember the urgent Abstract Submission deadline of April 29, 2011 is only three weeks away.

Visit the ECS website for meeting details.
