Frank,

Welcome to the group. It has been fairly quiet in the group so far because most of us are not used to way a Google group works.

In your research on RW Officer, have you looked at his published debate?

Officer, R. W. The Officer-Smith Debate: A Religious Discussion on the Design of Baptism and the Influence of the Holy Spirite. Held at Leader, Ind. Ter. Commencing July 13, 1893. Garland, Texas: M.A. Smith, 1896.

 WorldCat shows these holdings:

Location  Library  Code
US,OK UNIV OF OKLAHOMA OKU
US,TX UNIV OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN IXA

Are either of these universities close by?

Kind regards,

Jim

Jim, thanks for taking the lead on setting up this group.  Can you explain how it works.  I tried to log in and don't know what my password is .... Can we post things directly on on the List or do we need to send them to you?  Please advise.

All the best,

Terry

Terry,

Google groups are new to me, and I'm having to adjust the group settings to get things working . The group settings at this time are such that any one of the members can post directly or reply directly without my having to "approve" messages. Your message that I am replying to with this message shows up in the group messages.

Did the rest of you (Tom Childers, Bonnie Miller and Frank Bellizzi) get a copy of Terry's reply to the Officer-Smith thread? If so, that part of the settings is what we want.

All of us, by going to the Google Groups, should be able to view all of the threads. But perhaps, each of us has to set a password for Google Groups? It's been several weeks since I established a Google Group account and I probably chose the option to 'save' my password because every time now, when I go to the Group, it no longer prompts for my password. What about the rest of you? Are you able to view all of the threads without being prompted for a password?

Thanks!

Jim
