If we set this up in a main office, what options are available for
branch offices? Can Resara be setup as a bdc in the remote offices?
Also, will DNS work between locations without tweaking?

As of version 1.1(to be released Monday) the commercial version of Resara Server supports multiple domain controllers. If your branch offices are connected to the main office via a VPN, you shouldn't have any trouble. However, if you have hundreds or thousands of users, a normal broadband connection many not be enough. Each additional BDC replicates DNS information from the PDC. So you will have consistent DNS records on all of your sites.--
