We've been testing a Resara server for a couple of months now.
I joined a Windows server 2003 to the Resara AD domain yesterday, but it's just a member server for now.
What preparatory actions should precede doing a DCPromo and having the Windows box replicate with Resara?
What data or feedback can we provide that would be useful to the developers?
The Resara box and the Windows box are both VMs and we have good snapshots, so we can always roll back and start over, so we have no downside for testing.
If we can help or there are specific things you're looking to test, let me know.  If they sound interesting we can probably test them.

At the moment, adding a Windows server as a domain controller is not supported. In the next release, the commercial version of Resara Server will support adding other Resara Servers as domain controllers.

We would like to add support for this at some point, but I'm not sure when it will happen. You could try manually updating to the latest version of samba4. It supports integration with a windows domain controller. I haven't been able to get it to work properly yet, but you may have better luck than I did.
