Background:
Provide project-specific consulting services on an “as-needed” basis, including knowledge transfer, for: custom developed applications, COTs applications, enterprise level application design, architecting solutions, development, testing and implementation, business requirements and systems analysis; project management for software development, systems design, and systems integration; and software process and work flow process improvement.
Role Summary
The Senior SAP Solutions Architect leads complex SAP system design, architecture modernization, performance optimization, and strategic planning. This includes SAP HANA migrations, S/4HANA roadmap planning, SAP Cloud architecture, and integration of mobile and cloud-based solutions. The architect ensures the SAP landscape meets performance, scalability, security, and modernization objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect SAP system landscapes including ECC, BI, EP, PI, and BOBJ.
- Lead SAP performance tuning, system capacity planning, and optimization efforts.
- Plan, design, and execute SAP HANA migrations, conversions, and deployment strategies.
- Architect SAP Cloud solutions such as S/4HANA, Simple Finance, SuccessFactors, and Fiori Cloud Connector.
- Design and support SAP Mobile Platform implementations.
- Evaluate new SAP technologies and recommend modernization strategies for the City.
- Ensure system security, compliance, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead SAP implementation and upgrade projects, including blueprinting and integration planning.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership, coaching, and solution governance.
Required Skills
- Extensive architecture experience across SAP ECC, BI, PI/PO, EP, and cloud-based SAP platforms.
- Hands-on HANA planning, provisioning, conversion, and upgrade expertise.
- Strong understanding of SAP Cloud services (S/4HANA, BTP, SuccessFactors).
- Deep experience in performance tuning, load balancing, and system optimization.
- Ability to architect hybrid on-prem / cloud SAP landscapes.
