Project Duration
Five (5) year initial term with a County-held option for one (1) additional three (3) year renewal, for a potential eight (8) year total.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field. • Minimum 8+ years of senior-level experience in cybersecurity consulting, specifically protecting critical IT infrastructure. • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating large-scale public sector IT programs and procedures. • Must be authorized to do business in the State of New York. • Successful completion of a County-mandated background check. • Ability to adhere to strict County security protocols and sign a comprehensive Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
Responsibilities
• Needs Assessment: Analyze and assess County cybersecurity needs to formulate high-level recommendations for fortifying all IT systems against attack. • Program Evaluation: Conduct deep-dive evaluations of existing cybersecurity programs and procedures across diverse County departments. • Comprehensive Assessment: Perform multi-agency risk and threat assessments for County IT, District Attorney IT, and Police Department IT networks. • Infrastructure Modernization: Provide strategic technical recommendations to modernize and improve the security posture of the County's network infrastructure. • Communications: Maintain "open communications" with the County through frequent status updates and prioritize findings based on factoring current intelligence into risk levels. |
