Scope of Work Summary The SharePoint Developer will work with the RDU Procurement and Information Services departments to design, build, and deploy custom SharePoint-based solutions that digitize procurement workflows, synchronize multiple SharePoint lists, and automate reporting.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement a digital form system (ticketing platform) for users to submit Procurement requests (e.g., PA Forms, Solicitations) with data input and attachment support. Develop integration logic to connect and synchronize the following SharePoint Online List sites: Automate workflows using tools like Power Automate or Nintex to: Implement conditional logic and validation to flag incomplete submissions (e.g., missing Scope of Work or PA Forms) Support alerting and notifications, including: Contract expiration reminders Status updates to stakeholders Change tracking visualizations for users
Enhance reporting functionality by improving SharePoint-to-Excel data exports and enabling visual dashboards/KPIs
Optional/Secondary Tasks (If Engaged)Generate and automate comparative KPI reports (month/quarter/year) Provide technical support for integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and Adobe Enable quick filter/search/tagging capabilities for SharePoint lists Lock templates within Microsoft Teams Integrate CEO Signature Authority Tracker into the process
Technical EnvironmentPlatform: SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365 Government Version) Associated tools: Power Automate, Nintex, Microsoft Teams, Adobe, SQL Server Existing infrastructure includes manually updated SharePoint List-based solutions
Required SkillsSharePoint Framework (SPFx): Proficient in developing custom SharePoint solutions Power Automate / Nintex: Workflow creation and automation experience Microsoft 365 and Cloud Technologies: Comfortable working in a cloud-first environment SQL Server: Experience with backend data handling and integrations Web Development / UI/UX: Front-end development for forms and dashboards SharePoint Architecture: Strong understanding of SharePoint lists, libraries, permissions, and structure Government SharePoint Experience: Familiarity with SharePoint Online for Government Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to interact with business stakeholders and IS teams Knowledge of Various Programming Languages
QualificationsMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying custom SharePoint Online solutions Active Microsoft SharePoint Online Certification required
