Responsibilities:
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AWS enterprise architectures, including multi-account Organizations, hybrid connectivity, DR/BCP strategies, and migration roadmaps.
- Develop architecture artifacts such as diagrams, Well-Architected assessments, technical specifications, and cloud modernization strategies.
- Lead implementation of AWS infrastructure and core services using EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and serverless technologies.
- Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK for consistent, automated environment provisioning.
- Architect secure VPC networks and cloud connectivity solutions, including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/VPN, routing, load balancing, and auto-scaling.
- Design and govern enterprise API platforms using API Gateway, including authentication (Cognito/OIDC), lifecycle management, integrations, and API governance.
- Architect and oversee Kubernetes/EKS environments, including cluster design, multi-tenancy, networking, GitOps pipelines, observability, and deployment strategies.
- Lead cloud security architecture by implementing AWS/CIS best practices, GuardDuty/Security Hub/Inspector, IAM least privilege, KMS, WAF/Shield, and compliance automation.
- Conduct business requirements discovery and stakeholder engagement, translating functional needs into cloud architectures, cost models, SLAs/OLAs, and technical recommendations.
- Provide operational governance and knowledge transfer, ensuring monitoring, performance tuning, cost optimization, documentation, and enabling staff to operate cloud environments independently.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 7 years experience applying Enterprise Architecture principles (5 years in lead role).
- 7 years expert IT experience; 5 years in AWS multi-account Organizations.
- 5 years experience supporting hybrid cloud migrations across AWS services (network, security, servers, storage, backup, DR).
- 5 years experience with IaC tools: Terraform & CloudFormation.
- 5 years experience designing/implementing enterprise API Gateway architectures.
- 5 years experience architecting & supporting Kubernetes/EKS.
- 5 years experience delivering executive-level presentations and technical documents.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in technology field (or experience substitution allowed).
Desirable Qualifications:
- 7 years leading enterprise modernization initiatives across departments.
- 7 years conducting AWS Well-Architected Reviews and applying remediations.
- 7+ years aligning IT systems with business processes (5 years in lead role).
- 7 years designing reusable IaC modules/patterns (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Experience implementing enterprise API lifecycle management/governance.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
