Job Description:

Background Information: 1.2.2    UInteract is the state’s unemployment insurance application that manages all aspects of unemployment, including tax, benefits, and appeals.  The original UInteract went live in 2016 and was moved to the AWS Cloud in 2023.  The application has been updated routinely over the years to meet state and federal requirements and to meet the needs of DOLIR and the citizens of the State of Missouri.  Having an up-to-date, fully functioning application is critical to the unemployment needs of the State of Missouri. 1.2.3    Direct infrastructure support is not included in the scope of work of this RFP.  The contractor will not be making changes to the infrastructure.  1.2.4    Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) operating system (OS) patching, maintenance, and administration are not included in the scope of work of this RFP.  1.2.5    Management of the storage solution and OS is not included in the scope of work of this RFP.   1.2.6    Support for AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and related network components are not included in the scope of work of this RFP. 1.2.7    Identity and Access Management (IAM) functionality related to AWS management is not included in the scope of work of this RFP.     Minimum Experience Requirements:    Lead Developer:  The Lead Developer must have at least two (2) years of experience in a lead developer role in a containerized environment or at least six (6) Years in a Java developer role in a cloud environment.   The Lead Developer must be a full-time, on-site resource.                 i.    The Lead Developer should have experience as a lead developer role in an AWS or containerized environment and/or experience in the unemployment insurance domain.   The Lead Developer should be Certified as an AWS Certified Developer and/or an AWS DevOps Engineer.
