Job Title: SAP PP/QM Solution Architect and PM
Location: Somerset, NJ – 3 Days a week onsite
Department: IT/ERP Implementation
Reports To: Senior Director IT, GMP Systems
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview: The SAP PP/QM Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) solutions in a GMP biotech industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP PP/QM modules, integration with SAP EWM, 3rd Party MES, LIMS, a deep understanding of SAP best practices, ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Solution Design and Implementation:
o Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP PP/QM solutions in relations to Process Manufacturing.
o Design integration solutions with MES and LIMS systems and have an excellent knowledge of GMP Biopharma manufacturing processes.
o Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
o Hands on Configuration of SAP PP/QM modules to meet business needs.
· Understanding of GMP Validation processes
o Work with Validation team to ensure proper change control is administered and documents are of GMP standards.
· Project Management:
o Manage SAP PP/QM implementation projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation.
o Collaborate with project stakeholders, business process owners, IT teams, and external vendors.
o Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of solutions within budget.
· Working with System Integrators:
o Responsible and accountable for system integrators delivery in PP/QM area, validate specs and solutions design.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
o Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
o Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing and quality management processes.
· Testing, Training and Development:
o Leading end-to-end scripted UAT between SAP, MES, LIMS and Equipment Software.
o Train and mentor end-users and junior team members on SAP PP/QM modules.
o Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance user proficiency.
o Manage and help business process owners on SOP writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP PP/QM implementation and support.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PP/QM modules and related business processes.
- Multiple cycle experience in SAP implementations and integrations.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP PP/QM certification.
- SAP S4 Hana experience in at least one full end-to-end implementation.
- Experience in Process Industry preferably Pharma.
- Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules, MES, and LIMS systems.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform.
- Experience with CALM a plus.
