Job Title: Pharma R&D Functional Analyst
Location: San Francisco, CA – Onsite
Type: Contract / Full-Time
Role Overview:
The Pharma R&D Functional Analyst will serve as the key link between research, clinical, and operational teams. This role focuses on gathering requirements, analyzing business needs, and ensuring that research and clinical operations are effectively supported through well-defined processes and solutions. The analyst will play a central role in bridging scientific objectives with operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with R&D and clinical stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
Translate scientific and clinical needs into clear functional specifications for implementation teams.
Act as the liaison between end-users and solution providers to ensure business needs are met.
Support the setup and smooth execution of clinical studies through process alignment and documentation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support standardized approaches in research and clinical operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflows across the clinical trial lifecycle.
Key Requirements:
8–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably in R&D, clinical operations, or bioinformatics data management.
Experience with clinical data systems (Medidata RAVE or other EDC platforms).
Good understanding of clinical trial processes.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to genomics data (NGS, gnomAD, GWAS) and bioinformatics data lifecycle.
Experience contributing to regulatory submissions and reporting.
Background in translational medicine or similar cross-disciplinary research initiatives.
