Job Title: Senior ForgeRock Developer Location: Salt Lake City, Utah , Onsite Experience Level: Senior (8+ years)


Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior ForgeRock Developer to join our dynamic Agile team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Identity and Access Management (IAM) ecosystem, responsible for the full lifecycle of our critical systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in the ForgeRock platform who thrives on a combination of new development, system maintenance, technical analysis, and incident resolution. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to design, build, and support robust solutions while mentoring others and driving best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions, with a primary focus on the ForgeRock Identity Platform. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for various systems.

  • Technical Analysis & Design: Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to study information needs, analyze system flows, and design technical requirements for new features and improvements.

  • System & Incident Management: Serve as a technical lead for incident response and resolution. Perform advanced troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.

  • Security & Best Practices: Champion Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) principles. Manage source code within version control systems and execute change management processes diligently.

  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Actively participate in an Agile team environment, collaborating effectively with team members. Mentor and support junior developers, helping them build their technical expertise.

  • Documentation & Testing: Conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure code quality and prepare clear, detailed systems documentation.

  • On-Call Support: Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for production systems as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development, engineering, or a directly related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of dedicated, hands-on experience with the ForgeRock Identity Platform is essential.

  • Expertise in Java and its ecosystem, along with strong proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, and Python.

  • In-depth knowledge of IAM protocols and standards, including SAML, SSO, OIDC, and OAuth2.

  • Solid experience with Linux environments, SQL databases, and building/consuming Webservices/APIs.

  • Familiarity with application servers (e.g., Tomcat), containerization, and cloud computing concepts.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple concurrent projects, and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline automation.

  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and configuration using YAML.

  • Proven experience working within a large-scale Agile implementation.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
