Role : Five9 Cloud Developer (AI & Digital)
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Five9 Cloud Developer (Senior/Lead Level) to join our client’s Digital Customer Experience team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building AI-driven bot flows, modern web messaging experiences, and intelligent routing solutions within the Five9 Virtual Contact Center (VCC) platform.

You will lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based contact center solutions, with a strong focus on IVR development, ACD configuration, and advanced routing logic.


Key Responsibilities

IVR & Routing Design

  • Develop, test, and deploy complex IVR call flows using Five9 Studio.
  • Implement skills-based routing and intelligent call distribution strategies for global operations.
  • Configure and optimize ACD logic to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

AI & Digital Transformation

  • Design and build AI-powered Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVA).
  • Develop and optimize bot flows for voice and digital channels.
  • Enhance automation strategies to reduce manual intervention and improve resolution times.

System Configuration

  • Configure inbound, outbound, and blended campaigns.
  • Manage voicemail systems and customized agent desktop environments.
  • Maintain system performance and reliability within the Five9 VCC platform.

API & CRM Integration

  • Integrate Five9 with external CRM systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Utilize Five9 REST APIs for data-dips, screen pops, and workflow automation.

Scripting & Optimization

  • Develop JavaScript-based scripts for advanced call handling and automation.
  • Perform system enhancements, testing, and ongoing optimization.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create and customize dashboards and reports.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as AHT (Average Handle Time), SLA, and ASA.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) environments, with strong AI and automation experience.
  • Five9 Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with IVR scripting, dialog design, routing logic, and Five9 Studio.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and RESTful APIs.
  • Digital Channels: Experience working with modern messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Web Messenger, and SMS.
  • Education: B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global contact center deployments.
  • Strong understanding of conversational AI design principles and NLP fundamentals.
  • Prior experience in a client-facing or lead developer role.
