Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Integration & Solutions Architect to support a New York State client. This is a Senior/Principal-level role focused on cloud architecture, enterprise integration, and IT governance. The selected candidate will ensure seamless, secure, and standards-based integration between internal applications, external vendors, and third-party SaaS platforms such as Workday and DocuSign using AWS cloud services.

Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on AWS architecture experience.
  • Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional).
  • Extensive experience designing enterprise cloud and integration solutions.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, ECS, and EKS.
  • Experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, OAuth, webhooks, and API lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Workday, DocuSign, and Content Management Systems.
  • Experience reviewing vendor deliverables and providing architecture governance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Apigee, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Prior experience supporting New York State or other Public Sector/Government projects.
  • Experience presenting architectural solutions to executive leadership and Architecture Review Boards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Cloud Integration Architect with deep expertise in AWS serverless technologies, enterprise integration, and API architecture. They possess strong knowledge of event-driven systems, authentication mechanisms, payload transformations, and cross-platform integrations while maintaining enterprise security and governance standards. The individual should be comfortable collaborating with vendors, reviewing technical solutions, and driving architectural excellence without impacting project timelines.
