Job Title: Kubernetes & CI/CD Expert

Location: Frisco, TX (Day One Onsite)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes & CI/CD Expert with strong hands-on experience in building, automating, securing, and operating enterprise-scale container platforms and CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, GitOps, ArgoCD/FluxCD, Terraform, Helm, and modern CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Harness.

This role requires strong production support experience, troubleshooting capabilities across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, and expertise in secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-native deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms on AWS (Amazon EKS preferred)
Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, node groups, autoscaling, platform hardening, and workload optimization
Build and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security scanning, release, and deployment processes
Implement GitOps-based deployment models using ArgoCD, FluxCD, or equivalent technologies
Develop reusable Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and deployment templates
Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
Implement deployment strategies such as Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments
Design and enforce Kubernetes security controls including RBAC, secrets management, network policies, and DevSecOps practices
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
Troubleshoot Kubernetes networking, ingress, persistent storage, service discovery, cluster performance, and CI/CD issues
Collaborate with Development, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams
Support production environments, incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous platform improvement

Required Technical Skills

Kubernetes (Mandatory)

5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration and engineering experience

Strong expertise in:

Kubernetes (Amazon EKS preferred)
Helm chart development
Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, DNS, and service exposure
RBAC, secrets management, and Kubernetes security
StatefulSets, persistent volumes, storage classes
Autoscaling and workload performance tuning
Multi-cluster deployment environments
Service Mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd (preferred)

CI/CD (Mandatory)

Strong hands-on experience with:

· Jenkins

· GitHub Actions

· GitLab CI/CD

· Harness

· AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild

· ArgoCD / FluxCD

Deep understanding of:

· GitOps deployment models

· CI/CD architecture and automation

· Release automation and deployment strategies

· Environment promotion workflows

· Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments

· DevSecOps integration and security scanning

· Branching and release management strategies

Containerization

· Docker

· Container registries such as Amazon ECR, Artifactory, or Docker Registry

Infrastructure as Code

· Terraform (Mandatory)

· Helm

· Ansible (Preferred)

Scripting & Automation

Strong scripting experience with:

· Python

· Bash / Shell scripting

Preferred Certifications

· Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

· Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

· Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)

· AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Experience Requirements

· 7+ years of overall DevOps / Platform Engineering / Cloud Infrastructure experience

· 5+ years of Kubernetes production support and engineering experience

· 5+ years of enterprise CI/CD pipeline implementation experience

· Strong troubleshooting skills across Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, networking, containers, and CI/CD platforms
