The Adobe MarTech Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing marketing technology solutions that power customer engagement, personalization, and activation across Macy’s digital ecosystem.
Primary Skill:
AEP – Core Functional Work (Top Priority):
Ingest customer, behavioral, and transactional data into AEP (batch + streaming)
Build and map XDM schemas, configure identity namespaces, enable datasets for Real‑Time Customer Profile
Create behavioral & lifecycle segments (cart abandonment, lapsed users, high‑value customers, affinity groups)
Implement activation patterns to AJO, Responsys, Google, Meta, etc.
Support real‑time triggers (browse → email, add‑to‑cart → journey, purchase → loyalty update)
Validate activation logs, match rates, and customer behavior flows
Backend Engineering:
Build microservices using Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, REST APIs
Deploy on GCP (GKE, Docker)
Integrate with AEP, AJO, Responsys, CDP platforms
Secondary Skills:
Data Engineering:
Build pipelines using BigQuery, Airflow/Cloud Composer, Dataform, Pub/Sub
Support marketing data transformations and aggregations
Database:
Design/optimize MongoDB & PostgreSQL schemas for <500ms latency
DevOps & Reliability:
CI/CD with GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD
