Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Pega Application Support Engineer to join our Production Support team in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Pega applications in a fast-paced production environment, along with expertise in cloud platforms, application monitoring tools, and banking technology. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and communication skills while supporting mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Pega applications and ensure high availability of critical business systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues using Pega Diagnostic Cloud (PDC), Datadog, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Analyze application performance, identify root causes, and implement preventive solutions.
- Support cloud-hosted applications across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve incidents and production defects.
- Perform incident management, problem management, and production deployments while meeting SLAs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using Jira and Confluence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead operational efficiency initiatives.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production support environment.
- Participate in on-call support and production release activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Pega Application Support experience in a production environment.
- Strong experience with Pega Diagnostic Cloud (PDC).
- Experience supporting applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools including Datadog, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Experience working in Retail Banking or Financial Services environments.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, root cause analysis, and production support processes.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pega Certifications (CSA, CSSA, SSA) are highly preferred.
- Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Experience with automation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
