Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience to design scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance enterprise applications within the banking/financial services domain.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Distributed Systems, Kubernetes, and Cloud-Native Architecture, along with strong banking experience. Credit card, payment processing, or card lifecycle experience is highly preferred.
The candidate must be able to go beyond high-level architecture discussions and clearly explain design decisions, architectural trade-offs, failure scenarios, resilience strategies, and real-world production considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technical solutions for large-scale banking and financial applications.
- Define application architecture, service boundaries, integration patterns, APIs, and system designs.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable and secure technical architectures.
- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Drive modernization of legacy applications into microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient distributed systems.
- Establish best practices around APIs, security, scalability, performance, and observability.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, QA, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Identify potential failure scenarios and design appropriate recovery and resilience mechanisms.
- Ensure solutions comply with banking security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards.
Required Technical Skills
Java / Spring Boot / Microservices – Advanced
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Deep expertise in Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems.
- Ability to explain service boundaries, synchronous vs. asynchronous communication, consistency, and failure handling.
Banking / Financial Services – Required
- Strong experience working in the Banking / Financial Services domain.
- Credit Cards, Payment Processing, Card Lifecycle, Authorization, Settlement, or Transaction Processing experience strongly preferred.
Angular – Advanced
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade web applications and front-end integration with backend microservices.
