Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in system integration; 3+ years specifically in the Azure Integration Stack.
- Core Stack: Expert-level APIM, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
- EDI Standards: Solid understanding of X12, EDIFACT, and B2B integration patterns.
- Coding/Scripting: Proficiency in C# (for APIM policies/Logic App transformations) and JavaScript.
- Architecture Patterns: Deep knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and microservices.
- Communication: Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and lead offshore/onshore development teams.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions for Wallenius Wilhelmsen. This role requires a heavy focus on B2B/EDI integration, connecting global logistics systems through a robust Azure ecosystem. You will be responsible for defining integration patterns—including real-time, batch, and event-driven communications—while providing technical leadership to developers. The ideal candidate is an expert in Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps, and EDI standards (X12/EDIFACT), capable of writing custom C# policies and data transformation logic.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
Azure Integration Services (AIS)
- Platform Design: Architect secure, scalable solutions using APIM, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
- API Governance: Enforce gateway strategies including routing, throttling, and caching using APIM policies and C#.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Design high-throughput systems using Event Grid and Event Hubs to support asynchronous messaging and pub-sub patterns.
B2B & EDI Specialization
- EDI Workflows: Design and implement X12 and EDIFACT workflows using the Azure Integration Account.
- Protocols: Securely manage partner communications via AS2 and SFTP protocols.
- Data Transformation: Leverage C# and JavaScript for complex data mapping and custom transformations within Logic Apps and Functions.
DevOps & Infrastructure
- IaC Mastery: Deploy and manage environments using Infrastructure as Code—specifically Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- CI/CD: Drive efficient delivery through automated pipelines, ensuring highly available and fault-tolerant deployments.
- Security: Implement enterprise security standards including OAuth2, JWT, and secure vaulting for B2B credentials.
