Rate: $60/hr. on C2C

Digital Site Reliability Senior Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, performance, and automation across our digital platforms.

This role focuses on building scalable CI/CD pipelines, strengthening observability, and partnering closely with development teams to ensure high‑quality, highly available services.

 

Responsibilities:

Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and tooling (GitLab preferred; Bamboo/Jenkins experience valuable).

Experience with software/platform design and implementation experience; utilizing CI/CD pipeline; using EKS, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, and Splunk; aligning business capabilities to IT solutions; and experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.

Support and enhance platform architecture, including EKS, Docker, and containerized application environments.

Monitor production/non-production systems and help solve problems, leveraging tools including Datadog.

Monitor production and non‑production systems using Datadog, Splunk, and related APM tools; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Maintain containerized applications with Docker or similar technologies.

Work with the product and development teams to continue to scale our application and infrastructure while ensuring performance and high availability.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to scale applications and infrastructure while ensuring performance and availability.

Collaborate with the development team on defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that represent the health of their service.

Develop systems and software that increase site reliability and performance and be part of building SRE competency within the Digital organization

Define and refine SLIs/SLOs to measure service health and drive reliability improvements.

Help evolve the CI/CD pipeline leveraging SLIs and other monitorability works. Assist with automating testing strategies to determine quality gates for a production deployment.

Build long term automation solutions using scripting and programming (Groovy, Shell, Python, Terraform, or Java/JavaScript).

Contribute to SRE best practices and help mature SRE capabilities across the Digital organization.

Enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and improved observability.

Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance for UI, APIs, and microservices.

Participate in an on‑call rotation supporting production systems.

 

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

8+ years in DevOps/SRE roles with strong experience in CI/CD, containerization, and Kubernetes deployments.

5+ years troubleshooting with APM tools (Datadog, Dynatrace).

5+ years log analysis using Splunk.

5+ years working with Nexus Repository.

5+ years diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.

5+ years demonstrating advanced expertise in core technical areas and commitment to operational excellence.

5+ years experience with ServiceNow and Jira for change management.

4+ years Unix/Linux shell scripting and supporting NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase).

3+ years working with static code analysis tools (Checkmarx, SonarQube).

3+ years applying OWASP security principles.

Strong experience in DevOps with Gitlab CI/CD to create/maintain build and deploy pipelines.

Strong experience in build tools like maven, Gradle, NPM/yarn, YML

Strong experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting

Experience in supporting NoSQL DB’s like Couchbase

Experience in static code analysis tools like checkmarx and sonar.

Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience in troubleshooting using APM tools like Datadog and Dynatrace.

Strong log analysis using tools like Splunk

Experience in working with nexus repository

Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot complex issues

Expert level experience in one or more mandatory skills

Should have curious mindset and focused on continuous improvements.

Experience with service now and Jira for change management.
