Senior Technical Business Analyst (Data Analysis, SQL, Compliance) Job Title: Technical Data/Business Analyst
- Location: Hybrid in New York, NY (3 days/week onsite)
- Payrate: $60/hr. c2c
- Duration: 12 months, with possibility of extension
- Client: A2C Consulting / Morgan Stanley (Wealth Management Monitoring Department within NFRT)
- Visa: USC, GC, TN, H4
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Technical Data/Business Analyst with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join the Non-Financial Risk Technology (NFRT) team, specifically supporting Wealth Management Monitoring at Morgan Stanley. This is a Hybrid role in New York, NY (3 days onsite, with a mandatory onsite second-round interview). The analyst will provide project management, business analysis, and data analysis support for building models and applications used by Risk and Compliance divisions. The role requires proficiency in SQL and relational databases, established technical knowledge of the SDLC, and a strong understanding of trade lifecycles and asset classes in Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills
Core Analysis & Project Management
- Business Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and generate Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), including Agile user stories and supporting documentation.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data sets to determine data gaps and work with cross-functional teams to bridge them. Proficiency in Data Analysis, with working experience in SQL and relational databases.
- Project Management: Create and manage the overall project plan; lead cross-functional teams, manage project risks, and facilitate stakeholder communication.
- Testing: Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), write and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test plans.
Domain & Compliance
- Financial Domain (MUST): Experience in trade lifecycles and asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures).
- Compliance (Desired): Understanding of Compliance surveillance platforms (e.g., Actimize, MANTAS, SunGard) and their models (e.g., Wash trades, Spoofing, Insider Trading).
Technical & Soft Skills
- Established technical knowledge in software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across IT and Business groups.
- IT Project Management experience is desired.
