Job Title: C#/.NET Engineer
Location: Hamilton, NJ
Work Model: 100% Onsite for first 30 days → Hybrid thereafter (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Experience: 12–15+ Years
Required Skills
• 12–15+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience with senior/lead responsibilities
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 6/8+
• Advanced knowledge of async programming, memory management, performance optimization, and modern C#
• Expert-level Entity Framework / EF Core — entity modeling, Fluent API, migrations, query optimization, transactions, concurrency, provider-specific behavior
• Strong relational database experience — PostgreSQL preferred; Oracle/SQL Server also considered
• Database design, indexing, query tuning, and stored procedures
• Strong ASP.NET Core Web API / REST API development experience
• Solid knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, domain modeling, Clean/Layered Architecture, and Dependency Injection
• Unit, integration, regression testing, TDD and mocking frameworks
• Git, CI/CD, SonarQube
• Ability to understand and safely refactor large, complex codebases
• Strong attention to detail and correctness, particularly in financial/benefits calculations
🔹 Preferred / Nice to Have
• Legacy modernization / COBOL-to-C# or Java conversion
• Mainframe knowledge — COBOL, JCL, batch processing, IDS-II/IMS/CODASYL databases
• High-volume batch processing and performance tuning
• AWS: ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation/IaC
• Enterprise job schedulers — Stonebranch, Control-M, CA7
• Government, healthcare, benefits, financial services, or other regulated environments
• Npgsql experience
• EF Core performance internals
• ORM migration / modernization experience
