After spending their first 40 years of life in both ministry and business, Pastors Keith and Sheila Craft founded Elevate Life Church in the heart of Frisco, Texas on January 9, 2000. Little did they know then that this city would become one of the fastest growing in the Nation.
This passage calls us to make a habit of prayer. This is not to say that we should make prayer a chore or simply part of routine. Instead we should pray intentionally, but joyfully. Prayer is direct communication with God, and nothing helps us seek and worship God like prayer.
God created us to worship, and the object of our worship is him. Our lives would be changed if we no longer gripped them selfishly tight, but willingly surrendered them as a living sacrifice to the God who knew us from the beginning.
We should seek God in all we do, every day, so that we live worship-filled lives. But that is why we intentionally set aside times to gather together for worship. In encountering God, we are encouraged and reminded of who God is, what God is doing in the world, and who we are to be and do.
REGULAR SERVICES IN BLADES CHAPEL
The purpose of Blades Chapel is to facilitate the worship of God, so that we may experience God's presence and be encouraged to take God's presence to the rest of campus and the world in such a way where others experience the sacred as well. To learn more about sacred space , or to learn more about the wonderful mural in the Blades lobby, .
This freedom to live according to vastly different religious beliefs has allowed men and women of different faiths to live, work, learn, and worship peacefully side by side. Any effort to repress our freedom to worship, teach, and live out our beliefs is an attack not just on human dignity, but on the very foundation that has made America strong.
Religious freedom benefits both individuals and communities. For many Americans, a relationship with God is the most important aspect of their lives, and their faith guides them in values like honesty and responsibility, which impact their families and communities. It encourages them to volunteer at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools, and other places that help the underserved.
Change does not happen in a vacuum. Effective change must take place in a community. Andrews University is seeking opportunities to develop a community presence that is driven by empathy. We seek opportunities to connect.
In life, we look for meaning but end up feeling empty. But what if, in the midst of our pursuit, we realize that a God has been pursuing us the whole time. This Christmas we can be reminded that Jesus came to seek and save the lost.
We understand that there will be times when God calls us beyond our comfort zone, but we believe that God knows best and we want to do whatever He asks of us. In our homes, workplaces, schools, community and church, we desire to be people who live out the callings of Jesus, no matter the cost, and no matter how uncomfortable it may make us.
Truth For Life may livestream other events in the future through truthforlife.org/live and various other online outlets, but the last Sunday service livestream will be January 31, 2021.

Our MissionIn the legacy of C.S. Lewis, we develop wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ who articulate, defend, share, and live their faith in personal and public life.
We want you to know that Jesus cares about your life! At Legacy, our goal is to make disciples. We believe that when you live your life as a devoted follower of Jesus, you are living to your fullest and most satisfying potential! We as a church want to connect you to authentic relationships, we want to raise up the next generation of Kingdom Builders, and we want to weekly provide worship services so you can hear, see, and live out the Word of God!
Calvary is a Bible-teaching church centered around the life-changing message of Jesus, making a difference in Orange County and around the world since 1931. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming services as we gather to worship and grow together.
As followers of Jesus, we live on mission reflecting His love and light by seeking justice, showing compassion, and sharing the good news of His kingdom with our neighbors and the nations. Where is God calling you?
It is important for us to be able to see our true status before God. We cannot be deceived by prosperity and power. Just because things are going well in life does not mean that we are in right standing before God. The nation of Israel is back at its pinnacle of wealth and prosperity yet Amos is singing a funeral song for the nation. It is during our times of prosperity that we must carefully evaluate ourselves. It is when we are experiencing the blessings in life that we must make sure that we are not blinded from seeing our spiritual flaws.
The requirements are God are very simple. Seek the Lord and you will live. But we need to seek the Lord properly. There is a right way to seek the Lord. In this section Amos is going to explain how the people were supposed to seek the Lord to find life, yet failed.
Only when we see this truth can we have an appreciation for Jesus. Only when we understand the tally of sins marked against us can we appreciate mercy and grace. Humble living comes when we grasp our spiritual condition and grasp what God has done to deal with our violations. There is no room for pride when are sins are ever before our faces. There is no room for self-seeking when we are mindful of the enormous list of sins that stand against us. There can only be humility when we see the blood of Jesus cleanse us from our sins.
Seek the Lord in righteousness and humility. Do not seek the Lord in false worship. Religious activity is not seeking the Lord. Truly desire to know God and pursue him in all you do. This pursuit will lead to desiring what is good and hating what is evil.
New Life Live! has literally changed my life. Coming from an extremely chaotic childhood, my mind was messed up. Although saved, I had many issues that caused me to have challenges as a wife, a mother, a servant of God. But through programs such as New Life Live!, I have been introduced to Biblical principles that have helped me to grow and to become useful in the kingdom. I truly thank God for New Life Live!.
Our broadcasts are streamed live on YouTube as we record. You can share the broadcast and leave us a comment. When we are recording, the YouTube Live stream will also be visible on the homepage of newlife.com.
In his Four Freedoms Speech, Roosevelt proposed four fundamental freedoms that all people should have. His "four essential human freedoms" included some phrases already familiar to Americans from the Bill of Rights, as well as some new phrases: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. These symbolized America's war aims and gave the American people a mantra to hold onto during the war.
As America became more engaged in World War II, painter Norman Rockwell created a series of paintings illustrating the four freedoms as international war goals that went beyond just defeating the Axis powers. In the series, he translated abstract concepts of freedom into four scenes of everyday American life. Although the federal government initially rejected Rockwell's offer to create paintings on the four freedoms theme, the images were publicly circulated when The Saturday Evening Post, one of the nation's most popular magazines, commissioned and reproduced the paintings. After winning public approval, the paintings served as the centerpiece of a massive U.S. war bond drive and went on a national tour to raise money for the war effort.
What I seek to convey is the historic truth that the United States as a nation has at all times maintained clear, definite opposition, to any attempt to lock us in behind an ancient Chinese wall while the procession of civilization went past. Today, thinking of our children and of their children, we oppose enforced isolation for ourselves or for any other part of the Americas.
We need not overemphasize imperfections in the Peace of Versailles. We need not harp on failure of the democracies to deal with problems of world reconstruction. We should remember that the Peace of 1919 was far less unjust than the kind of "pacification" which began even before Munich, and which is being carried on under the new order of tyranny that seeks to spread over every continent today. The American people have unalterably set their faces against that tyranny.
Every realist knows that the democratic way of life is at this moment being' directly assailed in every part of the world--assailed either by arms, or by secret spreading of poisonous propaganda by those who seek to destroy unity and promote discord in nations that are still at peace.
The happiness of future generations of Americans may well depend upon how effective and how immediate we can make our aid felt. No one can tell the exact character of the emergency situations that we may be called upon to meet. The Nation's hands must not be tied when the Nation's life is in danger.
