I am using the latest version of packet tracer but still getting compatible issue and I can't find anywhere any solution of it anywhere if anyone knows how to open this file please help !!
It is bad that when you update to a new version any old file you have will not work on the new version, and there seems to be no workable solution found...it is annoying and pain as I am trying to use the tutorials I have here to help teach my class on how to use packet tracer
Using the install script for packet tracer from here backs up the data in my home directory for some reason, before the install starts. Does anyone know why? Here's the script - paste.ubuntu.com/10975482/
Update: here are some new outputs from the terminal
But I cannot launch, as the command packettracer closes without any error messages, as does packettracer --help and packettracer -hUpdate: installing libgtk2.0-0:i386 fixed the GUI launch, but not the terminal one.
I extracted the contents to a folder, then changed my pwd to that folder. I ran the install script by typing ./install at the prompt and it copied only the contents within the pt folder. It did not copy my Desktop or Home Directory contents.Reboot computer and type packettracer from a command line. Done!
Hello, ever since today cisco packet tracer decided to refuse to open for no apparent reason, everytime i try launching it i get a "PacketTracer.exe - Entry Point Not Found" error that says "The procedure entry point EVP_DigestInit_wrapper could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Cisco Packet Tracer 8.0\bin\PacketTracer.exe."
i tried reinstalling cisco packet tracer 8.0, tried with older versions and a 32 bit version and they all suddenly have the same problem, i havent tinkered with any files or system files that should have caused this to happen and i urgently need to use the software
