Optifine Download

Whenever I download optifine it says that its blocked and that "this type of file isnt normally downloaded and could be harmful" when i try to open it. No matter what security settings i disable on my computer it doesnt let me open it and download it. I think its because microsofts security system thinks that java files are dangerous and therefore blacklists them. I am really lost and have been trying to solve this for 2 hours so if anybody has any sort of idea to solve it i would really appreciate it.

When using optifine the load times on chunks is extremely slow, only once I walk up to the chunk will it load. I have my render distance set to 12 and everything works fine in vanilla 1.14.3 and optifine/vanilla 1.13.2

So ive been trying to install optifine, have tried multiple browsers and different installs and locations but the same problem happens. After the first download onto my pc and i try to run it to install the full thing it flickers a command prompt and crashes. I just wanna use my shaders. Cant find any similar issues so if anyone has any information it would help. Ive reinstalled java and minecraft, have no anti virus but windows defender. Any help appreciated!

I downloaded the latest optifine release ( OptiFine HD U I5 pre6 ) and installed it in my curse profile like i've done in previous versions (copying it in the "mods" folder) but it doesn't seem to work for some reason.

Before installing optifine, minecraft used to run with 120-180 fps. Now, it is stuck at 20-60. I have tried everything, I made sure minecraft is using the nvidia GPU, installed the most recent version of optifine, tried running it with and without forge, updated my nvidia drivers, and nothing seems to help. Also minecraft has 2G of RAM allocated.

I wanna see normal capes, that are from minecraft, not the optifine one. I have an optifine cape and I like it but I wanna switch to seeing my vanilla cape without not using optifine, while having an option to show my optifine cape again. Is that possible?

Is there anyway to get optifine on vault hunters? i downloaded the 1.18.2 version and it keeps crashing my game, so that doesnt work, is there any other way? i want to use the zoom. I tried looking into the keybinds for a zoom option but there is not one

Optifine is just flagged as a virus, i dont know if this is just for chrome, but if it is just chrome, edge is still probably deleted on most computers, when i download optifine, everything goes as expected, but after it's done installing, it will say "this file will harm your computer, do you wanna keep it anyway?" is this by file type .jar or optifine is an actual virus?

You might also need to install Jarfix as well if you don't have that already. Just google "the breakdown optifine jarfix", if that also helps (like Java, you only need to install it again every few years to keep it updated).

im stuck on step 5 of the download optifine thing. when i open it with Java(TM) platform SE binary it just opens a black screen for half a second then closes it and it doesnt download anything. ive tried redownloading java, redownloading optifine and restarting my computer so many times but it keeps doing the same thing. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this and stop it from happening?

What version of Minecraft are you downloading optifine h9 for? Be sure to download the exact same version of optifine that you have installed minecraft. If you have Minecraft 1.19.1 you need optifine 1.19.1 not 1.19.
