Every BODYJAM class kicks off with a fresh dance remix featuring basic moves that will warm up your muscles. This is followed by a series of isolations that develop movement through the hips and chest.
During the first cardio block (1-2 tracks) you'll learn simply dance routines themed with styles like Hip Hop, Dancehall and Latin that will get your heart pumping. Then, throughout the second cardio block (2-3 tracks), the massive high kicks in as you build on the simple routines from the first block and add in a bigger range of dance choreography.
Mid class you'll be pleased to get a 3 minute recovery, where you can groove down and catch your breath before the final cardio block begins. Featuring all new choreography, the final cardio block (4 tracks) lets you add dance moves on top of dance moves, creating a whole new level of intensity that will get your heart racing.
BodyJam is for all levels of fitness. It's a dance workout designed around repetition - all you need is basic rhythm and coordination and a love of dance. Your highly-training instructor will help you master the moves.
Group Fitness class participants must arrive before the class start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted into the class. This policy intends to reduce disruptions, ensure all participants have adequately warmed up, and to provide the best service to all participants.
Doors may be closed & locked once classes reach the max number of participants designated for that particular class. Max numbers are determined by the amount of equipment available, as well as how many participants may safely and comfortably perform the exercises for each given class.
Cardio Plus is a high energy 45 minute whole body workout. This workout combines low impact aerobic activity, flexibility, and strength training in a positive, environment keeping you active and young at heart.
Barre Fusion is a low impact workout that may incorporate the ballet barre, pilates and strength movements. This technique uses small movements with high repetitions. Additional equipment may include mini stability balls, hand-weights, bands or pilates rings. This class is for you!! Dance background not required.
