This is my first year mentoring for my local group and it has been great.  Their first meeting this year I did a presentation on 3D printing and rapid prototyping it blew their minds.  Having to build a robot from scratch in 6 weeks works perfect with rapid prototyping.

I would highly suggest taking a look and seeing if there is a group in your area.  It is the absolute perfect opportunity to educate others on 3D printer, while giving them the chance to utilize the concept as well.
