We have a Ponoko RepRap (repstrap) at Alpha One Labs we've been
hacking on and will have for the meeting. Hoping to get a few more
people to bring theirs out on the 20th as well.

I'm out on the Island, cant physically come anywhere but we hope (once
we setup our reprap/strap) to provide parts at the cost of production
to the NYC area, helping in spirit i suppose.

I'm very new to this scene and very excited about building one. How
many people do you think will be attending? Any chance someone with a
reprap might be willing to help me build parts? I was leaning towards
the Mendel as from what I've been reading, it's the cool new model but
as I said, I'm new to this scene so I've quite likely missed
something :)

Anybody here from the NJ area? I'm in Lodi myself if anybody else in
the area is building one!

Sounds pretty cool. The goal here I assume is to make them at alpha one, then help essentially build others for other people at the cheapest cost possible.

Do you have cost projections? Our current budget is $400. we hope to expand it though.
