So, I'm still some people/contributions short of what we need to order
a mechanical kit.

I received the electronics kits today. Note they're the PCBs and all
components each neatly in a separate bag, but it all still needs to be
soldered. Who's got experience and a decent soldering station? I've
got some basic gear myself (and experience ;-), and will try to do
some of the simpler PCBs that way.

Also got toothed belts, and 2 extruder heads (the nuts with hole); we
won't need either with the mechanical kit we're ordering, but they
will probably come in handy some time anyway.

No Arduino board yet, need to ask RRRF where that is, but we can get
those in AU anyway.

Hey Arjen,

Shame we aint got all the funds yet for mech kit. Anyone else
planning on contributing?

As far as soldering goes im happy to give it a go, but its deff not my
strong point. Id like to organize a session to try get the extruder
heads working though, no reason we cant get them working and tested
before we have the rest of the kit?

Let me know if you have a night spare where maybe those interested can
drop over and see if we can get at least one working.

Hi Arjen,
Sorry about being a bit slack on this but I have just put
in $60. Tell
me if you need some more.
Matt.

I hope so - we had enough people.

All I have is 2 extruder heads (nuts with a hole).
The extruder is part of the mechanical stuff we haven't got yet.

Cheers,
Arjen.

I'm great at soldering and have everything I need for it at home,
unfortunately I'm on my honeymoon at the moment and aren't sure when I'll
be back in brisbane or for how long. I may be around late next week, if
it still needs doing then I'll try to organise something via email.

http://www.littlebirdelectronics.com is where I got mine. Their
outgoing email server is rather picky about where it sends emails to, so
hop on their forum if you experience a lack of communication.

I'm similarly equipped as well, and I can happily knock them out. Oh,
and I'm actually here :D

(btw, congratulations! :)

I have time later this arvo (let's say 4pm or so onwards), and tomorrow.
Could be at my place, 79 Akuna St, Kenmore.
And drop me a line before you do, so I know who's coming. And probably
not going to do both, so either today or tomorrow... you guys work it
out, I'm out for a few hrs (kiddie birthday party for one of my
daughter's friends)

Bring soldering gear if you have it - I have some also but not fancy.

Cheers,
Arjen.
