Alternative to initial RepRap (laser-cut bits)

Hi, I'm a new member...

I've been researching RepRap a lot and I think the major floor Is in
making the initial machine.

What if you could build a machine that was made from items off the
net, Bunnings and Jaycar Electronics, that could make your first
RepStrap?
This device coupled with the thermoplastic injector from “bits from
bytes” could build all the bits of a RepStrap and that RepStrap could
continue to build more.

If anyone is interested in helping with the programming or have any
comments/ideas, post in this discussion.
