This week starting today until Friday at midnight, eastern time, GlobalGiving, after the fourth monthly donation, is doubling all recurring monthly donations up to $200. For example, if you donate $25 monthly starting this week, then in April GlobalGiving will add a bonus of $50 to your monthly donation.

At this time our four organizations receive 22 recurring monthly donations, totaling $342.50.

The dedicated staff members need to be paid their salaries every month and monthly donations helps ensure that funds are available for salaries, benefits, and employer expenses.

Certain months are very weak in donations. For example, during this October and November, because of the election and its aftermath, the only donations the four organizations received were the recurring ones. Likewise January and February and then July and August tend to be weak months for fundraising. Recurring monthly donations helps to ensure the payment of necessary salaries on a timely basis.
