How to Avoid the Dajjal: Dr Israr Ahmed's Urdu Advice on Extra Speed
The Dajjal is a major sign of the end times in Islam. He is a false messiah who will deceive many people and lead them astray from the true path of Allah. He will claim to be God and perform many miracles, but he will also cause great mischief and corruption on earth.
How can we protect ourselves from the Dajjal and his fitnah (trial)? One of the ways is to seek extra speed in our actions and deeds. This means to hasten to do good and avoid evil, to be quick in obeying Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), and to be swift in repenting from our sins and seeking forgiveness.
Dr Israr Ahmed was a renowned scholar of Islam who explained the concept of extra speed in his Urdu lectures on the Dajjal and his system. He said that extra speed is a quality of the believers who are aware of the signs of the hour and prepare themselves for it. He said that extra speed is also a weapon against the Dajjal and his deception, because it helps us to stay alert and vigilant, and to avoid being influenced by his propaganda and allurements.
What are the benefits of extra speed?
Dr Israr Ahmed mentioned some of the benefits of extra speed in his lectures. Some of them are:
- Extra speed increases our faith and certainty in Allah and His promises. It makes us more confident and hopeful in His mercy and guidance.

- Extra speed purifies our hearts and souls from hypocrisy and doubt. It makes us more sincere and honest in our worship and dealings with others.
- Extra speed protects us from laziness and procrastination. It makes us more active and productive in our personal and social lives.

How can we achieve extra speed?
Dr Israr Ahmed gave some practical tips on how to achieve extra speed in his lectures. Some of them are:
- We should make dua (supplication) to Allah to grant us extra speed and protect us from the Dajjal. We should also recite Surah al-Kahf (the Cave) every Friday, as it is a protection from the Dajjal.
- We should seek knowledge of Islam from authentic sources and scholars, especially about the signs of the end times and the Dajjal. We should also share this knowledge with others and warn them about the Dajjal.
- We should perform our obligatory prayers on time and with concentration, as they are the pillars of Islam and a source of light for us. We should also increase our voluntary prayers, especially at night, as they are a means of closeness to Allah.
- We should fast regularly, especially on Mondays and Thursdays, as they are the days when our deeds are presented to Allah. We should also fast on the 10th of Muharram (Ashura), as it is a day of forgiveness for our sins.
- We should give charity generously, as it is a way of purifying our wealth and helping the needy. We should also pay our zakat (obligatory charity) on time, as it is a right of the poor upon us.
- We should recite dhikr (remembrance) of Allah frequently, as it is a way of keeping our hearts alive and grateful. We should also recite salawat (blessings) on the Prophet (peace be upon him) often, as it is a way of honoring him and gaining his intercession.
