I have configure gerrit using ldap. I have the email configured in ldap profile. Since in a confined LAN environment, I can only reach out to my mail server configured via postfix/dovecot.  The email address domain corresponds to this mail server. I have my project and I can check out, commit, and push without any issues.

When I add a user for code review, I get the following warning:

[2019-07-03 09:12:52,510] [HTTP-113] WARN com.google.gerrit.server.mail.send.OutgoingEmail : Not emailing kth...@xxx.com (invalid email address).


I would appreciate any leads in troubleshooting this issue.

If that's a custom domain, you may need to change your config to allow it:

[sendemail]

smtpServer = Jenkins.com

smtpServerPort = 25

sslVerify = false

username = gerrit

password = gerritpw

allowTLD = true

 

I still get the same error after changes and restart of gerrit server. Please advise.

The allowTLD setting is not available in gerrit 2.14.7.  It was only introduced in 2.15.
