Hi everyone,

I am having this issue and I need to somehow get more info from the logs to see what is happening. The issue is a very simple one: I don't get any change generated by a push on HEADS:refs/for/master. I was expecting a reply from "remote" with a change url in gerrit to start the review but that didn't happen. From the documentation it looks like this should happen straight away but not sure if I am doing something wrong (I don't believe I am, I might just miss some server side hooks that are not installed when the gerrit side git repo is created)

Thanks everyone,
Giuseppe

If you are using Gerrit 2.16 or newer you can trigger a trace on push as described in:

Just to make sure, this should be: HEAD:refs/for/master

Hi Edwin,

thanks for your reply. Yes you are right I was actually using HEAD:refs/for/master, but thanks for pointing that out. The actual problem is that I didn't test the correct ssh port on the remote gerrit in git. So when I was doing git push gerrit HEAD:refs/for/master it was just pushing in that branch bypassing gerrit. Also I am on 2.15, but I found a way to increase the level of verbosity from SSH command.

Giuseppe
