Necessity of manually refreshing the Gerrit web page.

Hello Team,

When I click on 'BROWSE' option in any repository it takes me to the intended page. However, upon clicking the 'BACK' button in the browser, I anticipate returning to the previous page. Although the URL in the address bar reflects the previous page, the content fails to load automatically. I find it necessary to manually refresh the page in the browser to access the previous content. 

We are using default Gitiles config (browse)

Is there a solution to this inconvenience that eliminates the need for manual refresh or explicit page reload?

Hello Team,

It appears to be an issue with Gerrit or Gitiles plugin. After installing Gerrit on my local machine with no additional configuration, I've experienced the same behavior. Despite the URL in the address bar indicating the previous page, the content fails to load automatically. As a result, it becomes necessary to manually refresh the page in order to access the previous content, as demonstrated in the attached screenshots.

(Pic1) When clicking on "Browse" in any repository, it redirects me to the intended page (Pic2). However, upon clicking the 'BACK' button in the browser, the URL in the address bar displays the previous page, yet the content doesn't load automatically. This persists until manual refresh (Pic4).

Could you please guide me in resolving this issue?

Hi Matthias, I couldn't find a similar resolution in the 3.8.x release notes (Perhaps I overlooked it), and as mentioned earlier, I'm unable to access the URL suggested by Ben: "https://gerrit-review.git.corp.google.com/c/gerrit/+/357455". Could you please direct me to the right resource?

It only manifests if you serve Gerrit and Gitiles from the same host, which we don't do for Google hosted Gerrit.
