Hi,

I just upgraded our Gerrit to 2.6.1 - now I'm having trouble with the
Gitblit plugin. Is there a version which is supposed to work with 2.6.1?
I saw, that 2.8 is for use with 2.8...

What I'm actually getting as an error is
com.google.gerrit.server.plugins.PluginLoader : Cannot load plugin gitblit
java.lang.SecurityException: Invalid signature file digest for Manifest
main attributes

Greetings

Hi Sasha,
the problem with Gerrit 2.6.x is the new JGit library embedded that is different from the one used in the GitBlit plugin for 2.5.x.

As soon as we will get a solution it will be posted on the mailing list ... potentially a different packaging (from plugin to extension) would solve the problem BUT it would increase the memory consumption due to the JGit library caching duplicated.

Hi Luca,

thanks for the pointer. I upgraded Gerrit to master and the plugin works
again, also Jenkins can connect again ^^ so I think (as this is just a
demo / testing system) I will run master for now and hope that 2.8 will
be released before we're considering it for a production-project.

Greetings

Hi Sasha,
good to know that on master works for you as well :-)

As I said ... I cannot leave the 2.6 uncovered :-( ... I think I will bump 2.6 to GitBlit 1.3 now that has been released, but will keep the mailing list posted once its done :-)

Luca.
