Hackathon: Gerrit Summit 2026 @ NVIDIA, limited spots

Hello Everyone,

Following the Gerrit User Summit 2026 (Nov 9-10, Sunnyvale), NVIDIA

is hosting a 3-day hackathon at our offices in Santa Clara.

Theme:

  "Enabling the Git/Gerrit ecosystem to replace the usage of

  git LFS with partial clones"

Unlike most previous hackathons, this event is centered around a

single collaborative goal. We hope attendees will contribute ideas,

code, testing, and operational experience toward making partial

clones a practical replacement for Git LFS across the Git/Gerrit

ecosystem.

Git LFS introduces additional infrastructure, operational complexity,

and workflow friction. Partial clones are intended to provide a

native, scalable alternative, and this hackathon is an opportunity

for the community to work together to close the remaining gaps.

Whether you're a Git/Gerrit developer, maintain Git infrastructure,

or have operational experience with Git LFS or partial clones and can

help validate solutions with real-world use cases, we'd love to have

you join us.
