Hey all,

I'm trying to download repo from https://android.git.kernel.org/repo,
but I'm unable to connect. Is there a different place I should
download it from now, or is that server just out of action
temporarily?

https://code.google.com/p/git-repo/ is the official mirror.

Awesome, thanks!

For reference, the android.git.kernel.org address is posted throughout
the Gerrit and Repo docs, e.g. here: http://source.android.com/source/downloading.html,
which is linked from the docs on code.google.com/p/git-repo. If you
tell me how I can submit a patch for that, I'd be happy to, but it
should probably be updated by someone.

Chicken-and-egg: you can't submit a patch for the AOSP web site saying
that the AOSP servers are down... because the AOSP servers are down.

We're working on it.

Now that kernel.org is up, any ETA for when we can expect
android.git.kernel.org be back up too? Or at least, can we be sure it
will be the same hosts structure/setup as before?

Thanks,
Paul

We're working on making the Android source files available again, and
we're making progress daily, but there's nothing further to announce
at this point.
