Farewell and Thank You!

Dear Gerrit Community,

After an incredible 15 years working on Gerrit Code Review, with 10 years at Google and 5 years at SAP, the time has come for me to move on to a new challenge. I'll be transitioning to an AI-focused role within Google.

I'm immensely grateful for the journey with Gerrit. Serving as a maintainer, community manager, and member of the Engineering Steering Committee has been a privilege. I've truly enjoyed engaging with all of you, collaborating on features, participating in community events, and helping shape Gerrit into the product it is today.

One of the best parts of this experience has been the people. Many of you have become good friends over the years, and I will deeply miss our collaborations and interactions.

While I'm excited about this new opportunity, I'll look back on my time with the Gerrit project with great fondness. I am confident that Gerrit will continue to thrive, thanks to this amazing community and the dedicated team at Google.

Thank you all for the fantastic support, trust, and collaboration over so many years. I'm looking forward to crossing paths again in the future.

I wish the project and everyone in the community all the very best.

Thank you for welcoming me back into the Gerrit Community in 2011. I remember the first GitTogether where we met and were sitting together, you, Martin, Peff, and me.

Thanks for the over 18k changes merged into the project and a stunning 1.2M lines of code over 81 (!!) projects, meticulously developed over the years … all made with “natural intelligence.”

But most of all, thanks for your friendship during happy and sad times, after the loss of Shawn.
