Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is safe and doing well!

We are using Gerrit along with the RabbitMQ plugin to push Gerrit events on a message bus.
But recently we noticed that the this plugin is not available in latest versions of Gerrit.
After looking at the documentation, we realised that the development of this plugin has been freezed from version 3.14

and it has now been moved to "deprecated" state.

Looking at the deprecation comments  "(ARCHIVED: use plugins/events-rabbitmq) Publishes Gerrit events to RabbitMQ" it seems another plugin will be developed in its place.
Is this new plugin (events-rabbitmq) already available for Gerrit versions 3.3+?

Thanks in advance!

We just started the renaming process, which is very painful :-(
I will show-up again very soon with the new name.

Sorry to hear that there are problems with the renaming :-(.

I will show-up again very soon with the new name.

And FYI we are also running it in production so I can guarantee that it will be kept up-to-date when it resurfaces.

Gerrit does not allow projects renames: it is therefore a brand new repo of a plugin with a different name.

The old repo and associated CI jobs are kept in read-only.

Thank you Luca and Sven for your response.
When can we expect the new plugin to be available in plugin manager?
Will the new plugin be available for Gerrit versions 3.3 and above?

Best Regards,
Kiran

Me and Luca are working on it, a rough estimation is that this should be done by the end of this week.

master of the current "rabbitmq" plugin is compatible with v3.3 which is the latest released version (we are currently running this version in production on v3.3).

Thank you Sven.
Will deploy the master of the current plugin to our gerrit version 3.3

Have a nice day ahead!

Best Regards,
Kiran

Hi Luca, Sven

Hope you are doing well!
A quick question, just wanted to check if the new "rabbitmq" plugin is already released and available to download from https://gerrit-ci.gerritforge.com/?
If yes, can you please let me know new name of the plugin?

Thank you in advance! :)

The new plugin-name is events-rabbitmq.
Perhaps Luca has a better version but the latest build I could find is:
https://gerrit-ci.gerritforge.com/job/plugin-events-rabbitmq-bazel-master/2/artifact/bazel-bin/plugins/events-rabbitmq/events-rabbitmq.jar

Thank you Sven.
I was looking at wrong place under "Plugins-stable-3.4" tab. :)

Best Regards,
Kiran
