We don't use this term anymore and use replica instead.

Authentication for git requests on replica servers should work for git over HTTP requests.

Replica servers don't expose WebUI, REST API and search index.

I would like to know how can I make the replica servers authenticate when using the HTTP protocol.

When I clone from replica servers using HTTP protocol, no authentication is done. Anyone can git clone.
