Hello,
TL;DR; The Gerrit Code Review team at Google has a logo proposal to share with the community and would like to get your feedback by Monday April 18th on moving forward with this new logo.
What is the current state of the logo?
Currently, it is unclear what the Gerrit logo is because two logos are used in the UI or communication material. For example, in this article the writer used the Diffy and in the Gerrit Wikipedia page, the contributors use the “+/- squares” logo.
Currently, the 2 logos have quite complex shapes that may not be identifiable at a glance especially in tiny spaces such as the browser bar.
Why are we changing the logo?
We are proposing to change the logo so that:
The communication material is consistent for Gerrit Code Review.
The logo has a more modern look, uses simple shapes and is memorable at a glance.
What is our logo proposal?
The Gerrit logo proposal is a pink circle shape with a minus and plus sign.
Minus and plus votes are a unique feature of the Gerrit Code Review tool that we wanted to emphasize in the logo.
Pink is a unique color when compared to the other Code Review tools in the industry.
Below is an example photomontage of the article mentioned above with the new logo:
Where will the logo be displayed?
All Gerrit hosts will share the same logo in the Browser tabs
The unique logo will be used in communication material internally and externally
Give us your feedback on moving forward with this logo proposal by voting on these 2 questions by Monday April 18th:
Thank you!
Delphine, on behalf of the Gerrit Code Review team at Google

Can we also have other alternatives to vote?
I had the same proposal a couple of years ago, proposing to donate to the community one of the logos used in the past summits, which were all produced by professional designers and reusing the same character (the cuckoo).
P.S. We typically use explicit link placeholders on the mailing list, to avoid “blind clicks” from HTML e-mails.

Sorry about the wrong link, please find the 2 links below:
- Should we move forward with this Gerrit logo proposal? Vote at this link https://www.menti.com/wjrwha56gy
- If you replied "No", why do you think it is "Not an improvement"? Leave your thoughts at this link https://www.menti.com/xkzv9kq2z8

We also have another color proposal for the logo. Do you also have logo alternatives to share?

Thank you for the feedback on the logo proposal.
We will not move forward with the shared new logo proposal to be the unified Gerrit logo across all hosts and we won’t send any other alternative logo proposal for now.
For the record, please find the results of the two questions on Mentimeter:

Upvote on the "+2" idea, preferably in an existing Gerrit-related set of colors.
